Built to accommodate a larger YMCA presence on campus during World War I, the Y-Hut was located from 1918 to 1927 where the Memorial Union is today. It was erected by the National War Work Council of the YMCA. The Y-Hut was removed in early 1927 to make way for the MU. The YWCA remained in Shepard Hall.
