How to Set Up Twitch alerts in OBS

As you may already be aware, Twitch alerts are not provided by the platform itself, and you will need to add them via a streaming app like OBS studio. These alerts can be for anything from getting a new follower to when someone donates. Twitch alerts are visible on your stream to your viewers and help you interact with them or appreciate their actions.

Primarily there are two types of alerts you can set up - Pop-up alerts and widget alerts. Pop-up alerts, as the name suggests, pop up on your screen, and they disappear after a few seconds. You can have a cool gif, image or text that you prefer as a part of the notification. Widget alerts, on the other hand, stay on the screen.

So, if you are a streamer, and you want to set up alerts on your stream, follow the below steps to set them up using Streamlabs.

Steps To Add Twith Alerts in OBS

1. Log in to your StreamLabs account.
2. Link your StreamLabs account with your twitch account
3. In the left menu, select Widgets > Alerts
4. Select the alerts that you want to use by checking the box
5. Copy the URL mentioned in the alert box
6. Now, open OBS on your computer and add this URL to your scenes' source section. Right-click on Sources, then go to Add > Browser and paste the copied URL in the URL section.

That's it. Now open your stream again and check if these are alerts are working. If you do not use StreamLabs and want to set up twitch alerts for other platforms like StreamElements, TipeeeStream or Muxy, read how to set up alerts in OBS.
