Rhetorical Situations

Purpose: The term purpose refers to a person’s reason behind writing. Every piece of writing should have a purpose behind it to catch reader’s attention.

Audience: Audience refers to the listeners or the reader of a writing. The audience affects writing is various ways. Writing can be done in different ways depending on who is it being written to.

Genre: A genre is a type of writing or a category of artistic composition, marked by a style, form or content.

Stance: Stance is considered as the role or behavior of a speaker or writer in relation to his or her subject or audience.

Media: In rhetorical situation, media is the form of way in which the work is being presented.
