In my research paper, I talked about the negative aspects of European and Western companies importing clothing from Bangladesh, known as a developing country. Bangladesh is also my home country. The title of my essay is “Fast Fashion and Its Effect on Bangladeshi Workers.” In my opening sentence, I talked about how thousands of workers are losing their lives to make these clothing, make others look pretty. Before writing my essay, I have done several researches to learn more about the background of safety of the workers, as well as I have researched on if these kinds of incidents started happening recently or this has been going on for a long time of period. The thesis of my essay is European and Western companies should stop importing clothes from Bangladesh because of the terrible conditions garment industry workers are laboring in. they have huge issue about safety of the factories which is constantly being ignored, workers are getting paid very low amount of money and there is child labor as well. I have backed up my thesis with multiple evidences from six articles/journals from CCNY Library. I included a counter argument against the condition of the workers. All my evidences were cited in MLA 8^th edition style using Purdue Owl. I have included some visual texts which shows the terrible condition they workers are going through to make clothes for the textile companies. In my conclusion, I rewrote my thesis sentence and the main reasons behind my thesis. I have also talked about how the working conditions should be improved before the companies do business with Bangladesh.
