The West Point of the West

As the college’s enrollment grew, the cadet corps saw a proportional increase in its numbers, as military training was required of all male students. By the end of the first decade of the twentieth century, the 1898 armory was inadequate, and plans were made for a more substantial home for the cadet corps.
