The college catalog stated that the physical education department “offers every man in the College an opportunity for wholesome participation in nearly every branch of recognized physical activity.” Those activities included swimming, boxing, polo, rowing, wrestling, fencing, tumbling, golf, cross country, speedball and playground ball.
